{Chess} Pasco School District
Chess Clubs

Pasco School District Chess Clubs have had amazing growth in the last year.  We have gone from having only two active clubs last year, to nine this year, and we now serve more than 250 students!

We attend regional tournaments each month, culminating with the Washington State Tournament in April.  As of our last tournament, we have 26 elementary students qualified for state!

If you have any questions regarding a chess program at your school, you can email Jeremy Kidd, the District Chess Coordinator, here.

State Chess Tournament
On April 24, 2010, the state chess tournament was held in Tacoma, Washington.  Pasco District was well represented, having 32 students from 3 different schools participate in the event.  For most of the students, it was their first time competing at the state level.

Individual player ratings and round results can be found on the WHSCA website.
