Dear Stevens Middle School Students and Families,
I hope that all of you had a relaxing and energizing spring break. The spring is the start of the warm weather, but it is also the start of spring testing. Students in 7th grade will begin early MSP testing on April 10th. The remaining grades will begin their MSP testing in May. All students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades will be MAP testing throughout April and May as well. We remind our families that it is very important that students get to bed on time and have a nutritious breakfast on their testing days. It is also important that students arrive to school on time during the MSP and MAP testing days.
The third quarter grades will be send home the third week in April. For any updates on student progress please log onto Power School parent portal to get the latest information regarding your child’s grades, assignments, and attendance. It is important that families be aware of their child’s progress towards grade level academic standards. Students benefit the most when schools and families work together in an effort to maximize their successes Teachers are also available to meet with parents before and after school to discuss any concerns or questions they may have regarding their child’s education.
We continue to welcome parent and community volunteers to participate in our PTSO and ATP committees. We also welcome any parent or community volunteers who would like to help with our weekly FIT (Friday is Terrific) activities that occur during our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade lunches. We are also needing additional volunteers for our final Super FIT of the year and our 8th grade farewell. If you are interested in volunteering please contact the school at 543-6798.
Mrs. Carla Lobos,
