El Heraldo Cometa en Espanol

Dear Robinson Parents,

Where did May come from?  While June seems to be approaching faster and faster, we are still buckled down here at Robinson squeezing every learning opportunity out of our time with your children.  There is still so much to learn and do!  We would like to thank you for your continued support this year. You are a vital part of our work here at Robinson!  We would also like to thank everyone who has donated to our Carnival this year!

Kindergarten registration

Our season for registering kindergartners has arrived!  If you have a student who will be entering kindergarten this Fall, please come in and register! You will need to be prepared with the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of address. If you do not have these things we cannot process your registration.  Registration takes a while so please be prepared!  We will have several people on hand to help fill out the paper work.  We are accepting registration packets from 10:00-3:00 every day!

Clothing update

As the weather gets nicer we would like to remind parents that flip flops, short shorts, and spaghetti straps are items of clothing we ask students not to wear to school.

Testing Season

We continue into our testing season with the following tests. To assist your student in doing their best please ensure that they get good nights sleep!

April 24th –June 7th _  MSP testing grades 3-5

May 13th-31st   Reading Assessment DRA/EDL

Helping out at home

Parents often ask how they can support their child at home and our response is always “Read with them!”  Students should come home and read at least 20 minutes every night in order to increase their reading abilities! It’s also a great family activity! Let your child see you read, whether it is the newspaper, a book, a text, or an email.  They truly learn their love of reading and learning from their parents first!

 Updating Contact Information

Anytime your phone number or address changes please make sure to stop by the office and let us know or send a note with your child. It is imperative that we have a working phone number for you in case of emergencies.

School starts at 8:20 and students are dismissed at 3:00! Wednesdays they are released at 1:00

Sincerely,
Megan Nelson
