Graduation
10:00 a.m.
§ You are required to attend graduation practice on Friday, May 31st, at 9 am in the stadium to participate in the ceremony on Saturday, June 1st.
§ Cap, gown, stole and appropriate dress are required to participate. Remember this is a formal occasion.
§ Remember it will be hot on June 1st so dress appropriately for the temperature. Appropriate dress includes slacks and a light colored shirt for the guys and a dress or skirt and blouse for the girls.
§ Appropriate footwear is essential for the long walk to the stadium and for that reason no spike or stiletto heels will be allowed for the girls. A wedge heel or flat shoe with a small heel is safer and more comfortable.
§ No alterations are allowed to the cap or gown. That means NO decorating or writing on the mortarboard.
§ Remember to have all fines cleared up before graduation or you will not be allowed to participate. This includes fees for replacement student ID badges.
§ Cell phones, MP3 players, car keys, or any other valuables may not be carried during the graduation ceremony. Please leave them with family or friends.
§ Balloons, noisemakers, toys, Frisbees, fireworks or any other distracting or unsafe objects are not allowed at practice or at the ceremony.
§ Any student who intentionally disrupts the graduation ceremony will be immediately escorted from the stadium.
§ The use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs is strictly forbidden at any school district event by any person.
§ Plan a meeting spot with your family after the ceremony.

The Chapter Awards Project Team of Jasmin Garcia, Laura Delgado and Edith Rangel set out to keep our First Place title in that event. Not only did they succeed in winning first place, they also had a perfect score.
