Virgie Robinson Elementary School opened in 2005 and is the newest elementary school in Pasco School District.

The school is named after Virgie Robinson, a beloved educator and community civil rights activist who worked for the district for many years. Virgie Robinson’s family is still very much connected to education in the district and visits the elementary school regularly. The Robinson family donates a $500 scholarship every year to a deserving senior in the District. This year, the Virgie Robinson Scholarship went to a graduating CHS Riverhawk, Jessica Zuniga.

Megan Nelson is finishing her first year as Robinson’s principal alongside Assistant Principal Dora Noble. Robinson Elementary has a very active Associated Student Body (ASB). This year Robinson’s ASB collected the most food in the Tri-Cities for Second Harvest Food Bank: 2,302 cans. The school was also highlighted for raising over $3000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Robinson ASBRobinson is also the proud home of the ‘K’ Kids, who through their affiliation with the school’s PEAK! partner Kiwanis Club of the Horse Heaven Hills, engage in service learning activities, such as writing cards and creating valentines for troops stationed overseas, and writing get well messages to cancer patients.

Robinson’s first principal was George Mendoza and previous assistant principals include Letty Morrisette, Claudia Serrano and Josette Mendoza.
