Students can help themselves get ready for the new school year by memorizing the multiplication facts through 12's. Students may also want to brush up on basic adding and subtraction with regrouping. We start the year by reviewing basic operations, and soon move on to factors and multiples. Skip counting is helpful. Do you know about prime numbers and composite numbers? On the night of our open house, I will be challenging students to learn divisibility rules.
