    The school counseling program at Rowena Chess is designed to be preventative and developmental. Our school counselor, Ms. Mercado, works closely with students individually, in the classroom, in small groups, and one on one to provide assistance with their academic, personal, and social-emotional needs. School Counselor Role  

    Like other subjects in school, students are expected to meet specific school counseling standards as defined by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).
