A little about me and my family...
I was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Tucson, AZ with my two brothers. During high school I met my husband when I was a junior. Right after graduation I moved out on my own and attended the local community college then transferred to the University of Arizona...GO Wildcats!!! While completing my Masters Degree I married my high school sweetheart. Right after completing my Masters degree we moved to Pasco, WA, almost 25 years ago. My husband I have been married for 27 years. We have four amazing children. Maya is a junior at WSU, Kira is a freshman at CHS, and we have twins, Breckin and Shea, who both started middle school at Reynolds this year. We love to camp and spend time outdoors together.
My first job in Pasco School District was at Stevens Middle School as a special education teacher. When Ochoa Middle School opened I jumped at the chance to be in a brand new building and continue to work with students in special education classes. I was then given the opportunity to be an Education Specialist, which I did for 8 years. Part of that time was working with students at New Horizons High School, which has turned into my dream job as the assistant principal here and at Markham Elementary.
I love my job at NHHS where we RISE and believe in EVERY student EVERY day!!! I am passionate about supporting our staff to help students to reach their goals, to have hope for their future, and to be inspired. Every day is an adventure and am always learning something new!
