    Pasco High School’s 8th Annual Fitness Challenge

    Contest Rules and Overview:

    1.      All contestants will be split into 4 teams.

    a)      Each team represents a class (Freshmen, Sophomores, etc.).

    b)      Teams are made up of students, faculty, staff and administrators.

    2.      The first weigh-in and official start to the contest is Friday, February 10, and the final weigh-in will be Friday, March 17.

    a)      Weigh-ins will be from 7:00 to 7:50 a.m. in the first racquetball court each Friday.

    b)      You must be available for the weigh-ins or make special arrangements.

    c)       Only the first and the last weigh-ins will be recorded (details in part 3b) for points.

    3.      Point System: Contestants will be able to earn points from both weight loss and participating in events.

    a)      Each contestant will have the opportunity to earn multiple participation points for their team per week.

    b)      Earn points by working out (here or at your own gym) and keeping track of your food intake! See the next page for more information on earning points.

    c)       Earn points by going to Papa John’s and completing an activity chosen by Preston.  (Located at 6303 Burden Blvd, Pasco, WA 99301)

    d)      Earn points by going to Craig Griffiths State farm office and completing an activity chosen by Craig. (Located at 1325 Aaron Drive, Suite 104 Richland, WA 99352.)

    4.      Winners

    a)      The team with the most points earned by the end of the contest wins $500 for the student body class they represent, provided by Craig Griffiths State Farm Agency.

    b)      The top 5 individuals with the most points earned at the end of the contest wins a prize provided by Papa John’s

    Pounds lost at FINAL Weigh-in

    3 Points per pound

    Attending Weigh-in

    1 Point

    Wearing Purple on Weigh-in days

    1 Point

    Bringing a completed Food Log

    1 Point

    Bringing a completed Beverage Log

    1 Point

    Student Support

    1 Point per student (needs to be same student(s) each time; limit of 5)

     

    2)      Participation in Events

    Attending workout

    1 Point per workout or 3 Points with a student

    Group fitness class

    1 Point per class

    Completing PEAK Activity*

    4 Points per activity

    Completing Races/Competitions

    3 Points per activity

    Attending Health Education classes

    1 Point per class

    Wearing Purple on Event days

    1 Point

    Working out with a team member (s)

    1 Point per member
