Celebrating PSD's Future Teachers

Celebrating PSD's Future Teachers

On May 13, we proudly celebrated our future educators during our 2026 Future Teacher Signing Event held at Stevens Middle School!

Students from Chiawana High School and Pasco High School were recognized for their commitment to pursuing careers in education through our Teacher Academy and Teaching Bridge programs. During the ceremony, students signed letters of intent symbolizing their commitment to pursuing a career in education and potentially returning to teach in Pasco School District one day. Students also received padfolios to support them as they begin their journey into the teaching profession.

A special thank you to Washington State University Tri-Cities for recognizing students graduating from the Teaching Bridge program and for continuing to support the development of future educators in our community.

We also want to congratulate Jordan Sears for serving as our student speaker and sharing an inspiring message about the impact teachers have on students’ lives and futures.

Thank you as well to Gabriela Whitemarsh, Pasco High School bilingual math teacher and 2026 Washington State Teacher of the Year, for serving as our teacher speaker and inspiring the next generation of educators.

We are so proud of these students and excited to see the difference they will make in the future.
