Whittier Elementary’s Ms. Fluharty Wins WaFd Classroom Makeover Award

Pasco School District is proud to celebrate Ms. Fluharty, a first-grade teacher at Whittier Elementary, who has been named NBC Right Now WaFd Bank’s Classroom Makeover Teacher for February! 

Ms. Fluharty was awarded $300 to enhance her classroom and continue creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment for her students. She was nominated by a grateful parent who shared how she has made a life-changing impact on her students—helping them feel safe, confident, and excited about school.

Her dedication, caring approach, and ability to make each child feel special and supported have transformed the school experience for so many young learners. Whether she’s finding books that spark a love for reading, fostering confidence in her students, or ensuring they feel comfortable and valued, Ms. Fluharty goes above and beyond every day.
