1840 - Required Open Government Training Policy

Policy 1840

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Required Open Government Training

Each board member will participate in training regarding the Open Public Meetings Act, the Public Records Act, and retention of public records within ninety (90) days of taking the oath of office following election or appointment.  After the first training, directors will participate in training on these subjects every four years that they hold office in order to remain current with new developments in open government law.

Directors will document their completion of required trainings, and provide documentation to the Superintendent.  The Superintendent, as Secretary to the Board, will file and maintain the documentation in the district for the period of time required by the state records retention schedule.
