Policy 2221

INSTRUCTION 

School Closure 

The superintendent may order the closure of schools in the event of extreme weather or other emergency, in compliance with established procedures for notifying parent(s) or guardian(s), students and staff. 

School closures for reasons other than extreme weather or temporary emergencies must follow state law, which requires citizen involvement through public hearings.
