Policy 4311

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Visitors

The board welcomes and encourages visits to schools by parent(s) or guardian(s), other adult residents of the community, and interested educators. The superintendent shall establish guidelines governing school visits to ensure orderly operation of the educational process.

All visitors are required to check in with the office before entering a school or other district facility. Visitors shall receive a visitor's badge, which must be worn by the visitor in a conspicuous location at all times. Anyone not wearing a badge may be stopped and questioned by authorized personnel and may be asked to leave if not in compliance with this policy.

Notices advising district employees and patrons of this policy shall be posted in appropriate locations in all district buildings and at other district facilities as determined by the superintendent.
