How PSD Will Respond to Your Public Records Request 

Within five business days of receipt of the request (day one is the first working day after the request is received), the district will do one or more of the following:

  • Provide the records(s);
  • Provide an internet address and link on the district’s website to the specific records requested; or
  • Acknowledge that the district has received the request and provide a reasonable estimate of the time the district will require to respond to the request; or
  • Deny the public record request with a written statement as to why it is being withheld and a citation of the specific legal exemption that applies.

Costs for Public Records

Requesters may be charged 15 cents per page for all standard and legal sized copies and $2.50 per CD, DVD, or thumb drive. 

Requests are subject to disclosure under the Washington State Public Records Act (RCW 42.56). If a list of individuals is provided to the requester by the Pasco School District, it may not be used for commercial purposes or to give or provide access to material to others for commercial purposes, as prohibited by RCW 42.56.070(9).
