Gesa High School Credit Union Program

Empowering Students Through Financial Education

Pasco School District is proud to partner with Gesa Credit Union to provide students with essential financial education and real-world experience in the world of personal finance. This partnership directly supports our commitment to student development, blending academic excellence with practical life skills that prepare students for success beyond the classroom.

Gesa Affinity Debit Card Program

Through the Gesa Affinity Debit Card Program, students, parents, alumni, and community members have a simple and ongoing way to support Pasco schools. When Gesa account holders use an Affinity Debit Card linked to Pasco School District, a portion of every purchase automatically goes back to support our schools.

This statewide program has had a remarkable impact. In just the past year, Gesa Credit Union contributed more than $340,000 to participating school districts across Washington, bringing their cumulative giveback total to over $1 million since 2015.

High School Credit Union Branches

Another exciting feature of our partnership with Gesa is the operation of student-run credit union branches at Chiawana, Delta, New Horizons, and Pasco High Schools.

The High School Credit Union Program is designed to complement classroom learning with hands-on experience in the financial industry. These branches operate during lunch periods and offer a realistic banking environment right on campus.

Students participating in the program gain valuable career skills, including customer service, cash handling, and financial literacy, while their classmates and school staff enjoy the convenience of performing basic banking transactions during the school day.

This program not only builds real-world job skills but also helps students develop a lifelong understanding of personal financial management—a critical skill for their futures
