Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Pasco Schools District (PSD). To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students, we have established a volunteer process that includes a background check. Please follow the steps below to become a volunteer:
Here in Pasco Schools, students’ safety and their wellbeing is our number one priority. Every volunteer that steps into our classrooms is required a background check. You can learn more by visiting our Procedures 5430 Volunteers.
Steps to Volunteer
Step 1: Check for availability reach out to your school administrator or the district office to determine if there are any volunteer opportunities currently available.
Step 2: Complete the volunteer application if there is a need for volunteers, please fill out the volunteer application form. You can access the form here: Volunteer Registration Form
Step 3: Submit your application. Once you have completed the application form your application will undergo a criminal background check through the Washington State Patrol System. The background check is completed within seconds. Please note that you cannot volunteer until your application is approved.
Step 4: Volunteer applications are valid for a period of 1 school year, from the date of submission. If you wish to continue volunteering after this period, you will need to reapply and go through the same process.
Volunteer Expectations: As a volunteer, we expect you to adhere to all current district policies and procedures, as well as any state health and safety protocols for schools. Volunteers can participate in various programs and activities, which may vary from school to school.
