Bargaining Updates
March 13, 2026
The District gave a presentation to the Teamsters bargaining team regarding the decision to move to zone-based routing, discussed changes to school start and end times for the 2026–2027 school year, and discussed the potential for a unified early release day. The unified early release day required bargaining with PAE due to existing contract language. The District asked the Teamsters to notify the District if they identified impacts that needed to be discussed.
May 22, 2026
The District provided the Teamsters with available dates to begin bargaining the full contract opener.
June 8–9, 2026
On June 8, the District notified the Teamsters that the unified early release day had been bargained with PAE. On June 9, the Teamsters acknowledged receiving the District’s June 8 email.
June 9, 2026
The District sent the new school schedule to the Teamsters.
June 16–18, 2026
On June 16, the District emailed the Teamsters with a second request to bargain the impacts of the school schedule change and asked the Teamsters to propose bargaining dates. On June 18, the Teamsters responded that they would get back to the District with dates.
June 24–July 8, 2026
On June 24, the District sent the Teamsters a list of 13 days the District team was available in July and August to bargain the impacts of the school schedule change. On July 8, the Teamsters offered to meet on a different date.
July 13, 2026
The District sent the Teamsters an updated list of nine available dates to bargain the impact of the school schedule change.
July 14, 2026
The Teamsters responded to the District’s May 22 email regarding dates to bargain the full contract opener.
July 23, 2026
The Teamsters responded that they would get back to the District with a date to bargain the impact of the school schedule change.
August 5–20, 2026
The District and Teamsters bargaining teams met on August 5 and 6 to bargain the full contract opener. The bargaining session scheduled for August 13 was canceled at the request of the Teamsters. The teams met again on August 20.
Future bargaining dates are scheduled for September 11 and September 14, 2026.
August 24, 2026
The District sent the Teamsters a revised list of eight available dates to bargain the impact of the school schedule change.
August 28, 2006
The Teamsters have scheduled September 8, 2026 to bargain the impacts of the school schedule change.
September 8, 2026
Teamsters asked to reschedule the Impact bargaining (school hours) that was scheduled for today.
