Community Information Sessions

Pasco School District invites community members to attend a Renewal Levy Community Information Session to learn more about the Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Renewal Levy on the April 28, 2026 ballot.

These informational sessions will provide an overview of the levy, including what the levy supports and how it impacts Pasco schools. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the proposal ahead of election day.

The EP&O Levy is a renewal of the district’s current levy that expires in December 2026. It is not a new tax. Local levy funding helps support programs, services, and staffing that are not fully funded by the state.

Local levy funding and Local Effort Assistance together make up approximately 13% of the district’s total budget, supporting programs and services such as:

  • Athletics and student activities

  • Music, arts, and extracurricular programs

  • School counselors and nurses

  • Safety and security services

  • Transportation

  • Classroom staff beyond state funding formulas

  • Other student support services

If the levy does not pass, the district would lose approximately $50 million per year in local funding and Local Effort Assistance, which would impact staffing and student programs across the district.

Community members are encouraged to attend one of the sessions below to learn more. Translation will be available.
