MTSS - Social Emotional Learning and Behavior
What is MTSS-SEB?
MTSS-SEB is a data-driven, evidence-based framework designed to systematically address the social-emotional and behavioral needs of all students in our district. MTSS-SEB enables us to create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters emotional well-being, positive behavior, and academic success.
The continuum of supports:
- Tier 1 - Universal Supports: These foundational supports are provided to all students in a school community. They encompass evidence-based practices, proactive classroom management strategies, and a nurturing school culture that fosters social and emotional learning for everyone.
- Tier 2 - Targeted Interventions: For students who require additional support, Tier 2 offers targeted interventions designed to address student needs. These interventions are designed to address specific social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs.
- Tier 3 - Intensive Interventions: At this level, students with more significant and persistent needs receive intensive, individualized support. This tier involves collaboration between educators, specialists, and families to develop a personalized plan to address the student's unique challenges and goals.
