Dear Families,

As you are aware, Governor Inslee announced Friday that all K-12 schools in our state will be closed from Tuesday, March 17th, through Friday, April 24th in response to the COVID-19 virus.

All middle and high school students have district issued laptops. If you do not have internet access at home, Charter is offering free access to Spectrum broadband over the next 60 days. More information is posted on the district website.

There will still be breakfast and lunch available from the school district during the closure. All students are eligible to receive meals. Please watch the district website for information on when and where meals will be distributed.

Because of the closure, there will be no state assessments this year. We are working with the state to ensure no student’s graduation progress will be negatively impacted by the closure. Additional information on graduation pathways and requirements will be shared in the future.

During the closure, we are all encouraged to practice good hygiene and social distancing. Healthy hygiene practices include staying home when you are sick, even if it’s just a cold, covering your cough and sneeze with a tissue, and frequently washing your hands with soap and water. Social distancing practices include staying away from crowds and other peoples’ personal space. We encourage you to avoid group gatherings during this time and stay home as much as possible. 

We will be sharing more information on the Pasco School District website. You can also sign up for updates with the Pasco School District app. Please take good care of yourselves and your families during this time, and we will look forward to seeing you back at school as soon as we are able.

Como ya saben, el gobernador Inslee anunció el viernes que todas las escuelas de     K-12 grado en nuestro estado permanecerán cerradas desde el martes, 17 de marzo hasta el viernes, 24 de abril en respuesta al virus COVID-19.

Todos los estudiantes de escuelas intermedias y preparatorias tienen computadoras portátiles emitidas por el distrito. Si usted no tiene acceso a Internet en su hogar, la compañía Charter está ofreciendo acceso gratuito a la banda ancha de Spectrum durante los próximos 60 días. Se ha publicado más información en el sitio web del distrito.

Habrá desayuno y almuerzo disponibles del distrito escolar durante el cierre. Todos los estudiantes son elegibles para recibir alimentos. Por favor acuda al sitio web del distrito para obtener información sobre cuándo y dónde se distribuirán los alimentos.

Las prácticas de distanciamiento social incluyen mantenerse alejado del público/multitudes y el espacio personal de otras personas. Recomendamos que evite las reuniones grupales durante este tiempo y que permanezca en casa tanto como sea posible.
