• Ready for Kindergarten

    If you are a parent or know a parent of a newborn baby through age 5, we advise you to acquire knowledge of our Pasco Ready for Kindergarten program . The Pasco READY! for Kindergarten program is a FREE program to ALL Pasco parents, and ALL parents with young children are encouraged to participate. 

    Children are born learning! They naturally love to explore and understand the world around them. The READY! for Kindergarten school readiness programs empower parents to succeed in their role as their child's first and most influential teacher.  It gives parents information and activities known to be highly predictive of later school success.  The tools and activities provided optimize their child's natural curiosity and nurture learning and development.  

    We are offering a new way to experience READY! for Kindergarten. Parents can participate in the new E-Learning workshops from the comfort of their own home and on their own time. There are three E-Learning workshops each year (Fall, Winter, and Spring). 

    The Spring E-Learning workshops are currently being offered through May 31st, 2022.  

    After the workshop is completed, parents will ​receive tools used to play with a purpose and help reduce potential barriers for success. These tools include books, toys, games, puzzles, music CDs, and more to support the developmental targets.  READY! also emphasizes how to use everyday items and activities for learning and development during daily routines.

    READY! is a lifestyle: Read with your child 20 minutes a day and play a READY! activity for 10 minutes. 

    Getting ready for kindergarten begins at birth! 

     

    Ways you can register:

     

    Parents will view a E-Learning Spring workshop in their READY! account and complete an evaluation at the end. Parents will receive take home tools to begin "playing with a purpose" with their children after the evaluation has been submitted. 

     

    Tools will be provided after you have completed the virtual workshop and evaluation.

    ¡Estamos muy contentos de que esté interesado en READY! para jardín de infantes. Usted es el primer maestro y el más influyente de su hijo. Por lo general, ofrecemos talleres en persona de 90 minutos para padres y cuidadores de niños de 0 a 5 años. Estos talleres lo guían a "Jugar con un propósito" con su hijo y aseguran el éxito escolar. Ofrecemos herramientas educativas, información, materiales y libros para su hijo. Hay 3 talleres al año (otoño, invierno y primavera). Los talleres son gratituos para residentes de Pasco! Empleados del districto de Pasco puede registrarse. 

    Si usted es residente de Kennewick llame al 509-591-8897, o si usted es residente de Richland llame a su distrito para verificar qué programas están disponibles para usted. 

    ¡Talleres de primavera comenzarán el 1 de abril de 2022! Por favor de mirar su archivo de Spam/Junk en su correo electrónico.  ¡Los talleres de primavera serán en línea! Durante las vacaciones de primavera se aprobarán los talleres, pero las herramientas no se prepararán hasta el lunes 11 de abril.
