Parent-Student-Teacher-Administrator Success Plan Compact for
Stevens Middle School
As a parent/guardian I will:
*See that my child attends school regularly and on time
*Provide a home environment that encourages my child to learn
*Encourage my child to complete all homework assignments
*Support the school by developing positive behaviors
*Talk with my child about his/her school activities
*Encourage my child to read at home and to monitor his/her TV viewing
*Show respect and support for my child, his/ her teachers, and the school
*Provide my child with pens, pencils, paper, and other necessary tools for learning
As a student I will:
*Attend school regularly
*Come to school prepared each day with pens, pencils, paper, and other necessary tools for learning
*Complete and return homework assignments
*Do my best in my assignments and with my classmates
*Show respect for myself, my school and others
*Follow the school, classroom and bus rules
*Access available learning resources such as tutoring, Homework Center and Saturday School
when needed.
*Strive towards success with confidence
As a teacher I will:
*Believe that each student can learn
*Show respect for each child and his or her family
*Come to class prepared to teach
*Be a positive role model and demonstrate professional behavior and a positive attitude
*Provide an environment that is conducive to learning
*Encourage parents to become partners with the school in the education of their children
As a principal I will:
*Provide an environment that allows for positive communication between the teacher,
parent and student
*Provide an environment that is conducive to learning
*Support meaningful and appropriate learning activities
*Enforce school and classroom rules fairly and consistently
*Demonstrate professional behavior and a positive attitude
*Encourage teachers to regularly provide homework assignments that will reinforce
classroom instruction
*Encourage parents to become partners with the school in the education of their children
