Principal's Message
-
Dear New Horizons Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year. While it will be an unusual start to the year, I am excited to be back working with teachers, students and families and look forward to supporting your success this year.
Thank you all for your patience as we work and continue to work out details for the start of this school year. As you all know, we will be starting the school year online. This creates challenges, but also provides opportunities for students. Our staff is committed to serving you all and ensuring you have the supports you need to be successful.
As your Principal, I wanted to offer some suggestions and tips that will help your student excel this year.
-
Know how to log into your school email and check it often.
-
Communicate with your teachers. They are eager to work with you and will do whatever is possible to provide the support you may need.
-
The first day of school is September 1. The schedule for your school days is on our NHHS webpage. Powerschool will have your schedule.
We all recognize how challenging school can be when it is done remotely. For me, the biggest challenge is simply not being able to interact with you all in person. Returning students, I miss you all and look forward to seeing you. New students, I look forward getting to know you and seeing you grow as a New Horizons Phoenix.
We will not only “get through this” together, but we will find success together! I wish you all great success in the 2020-21 school year.
Your Principal,
M. Seth Johnson
