Close to 200 Pasco parents, teachers and community members attended the District’s three Community Input Meetings on May 16-18. Participants from throughout the community shared their thoughts on the district’s programs and facilities through an interactive survey. Deeper discussions on topics like overcrowding, program equity and school boundaries were also held in smaller groups. If you were not able to attend these meetings but would still like to share your input, you can take the interactive survey online at www.psd1.org/CommunityBuilders. It should take about 10 minutes to complete.
All of the information gathered at the Community Input Meetings will be shared with the Community Builders group at their next meeting on May 24. Joe Clark with MGT of America, the district’s long-term facilities planning consultant, will also provide an update to the Pasco School District Board of Directors during their regular meeting on May 23.
The Community Builders group will also meet with the PSD Board of Directors during a special Study Session on June 6 at 4:30 p.m. to discuss the input gathered at the Community Input Meetings and to start building the framework for a long-term facilities plan for the district.
