PSD Dual Language Program Expanding to Six Elementary Schools

Pasco School District is expanding its Dual Language program beginning in the 2019-20 school year, with plans to continue the Dual Language expansion in subsequent school years. The District is currently accepting applications for the 2019-20 kindergarten Dual Language Program. Applications will be accepted through June 3, 2019 from interested English speaking Pasco residents who have a first-time kindergarten student.

For the 2019-20 school year, Dual Language programs will be set up at Captain Gray STEM Elementary, Markham Elementary, Twain Elementary and Whittier Elementary. The Dual Language programs already established at Angelou Elementary and McClintock STEM Elementary will also continue at those schools. To be eligible to participate in the Dual Language program, students must be a first-time kindergarten student who has not been enrolled or attended public or private kindergarten. Students must also reside in the Pasco School District boundary for the duration of their participation in the program.

Acceptance into the program is based on a commitment to the program for six years and parent involvement. Applications are available at all Pasco elementary schools or online at www.psd1.org/Page/10615
