Jump Start Summer School Available for incoming 9th graders in PSD's Migrant Program

Pasco School District's Migrant Education Program is offering a great opportunity for incoming freshmen at Chiawana High School and Pasco High School to get a head start on the upcoming school year. The Migrant Jump Start Summer School program will offer incoming 9th graders in the Migrant program the opportunity to get familiar with the campus of their new school. Classes will be offered in math and English language arts, and tutors will also be available. Migrant program students who attend the Migrant Jump Start Summer School will earn .5 credit toward their graduation requirements.

The Migrant PASS program will also be available for 9th-12th grade Migrant Program students who need credit retrieval to stay on track for graduation. Classes will be offered in math, English language arts, and history, and academic assistance will also be available for students participating in the Migrant PASS program.

These programs will be available at both Chiawana High School and Pasco High School July 29 through August 9, from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. each day. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for students.

If you're interested in registering for these free programs, contact Xenia Garcia-Saldana with PSD's Migrant Education Program at (509) 416-7232 or xsaldana@psd1.org
