All high school and middle school students returned to school today in the Pasco School District. Tomorrow marks the return of all PSD students when kindergartners begin their first day of school.
Pasco’s second day enrollment numbers include:
8,663 elementary students in grades 1-6
2,824 middle school students in grades 7-8
4,648 high school students in grades 9-12
The high school numbers listed above do not include Pasco students attending Delta High School. Delta High remains closed due to the closure of Kennewick schools.
Pasco School District continues to enroll new students daily. Traditionally, enrollment has continued to increase until after Labor Day when numbers become more stable. Enrollment typically continues to grow through Oct. 1, which is the official count date for the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
The total number of students enrolled in Pasco schools on day two is 16,135, which is 90 more students than day two of last year, an increase of 0.56% over last year.
