Pasco Players & Chiawana Stage Company Join Forces to Present 'Elf, the Musical'

The Pasco High School Players and the Chiawana High School Stage Company are teaming up this fall for a special presentation of “Elf, the Musical”, the hilarious fish out-of-water comedy that follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity. The show is based on the 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell, and features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin.

“This show is really special because the drama departments at our two high schools are collaborating to share this incredible production with our community,” says Pasco School District Superintendent Michelle Whitney. “From the set construction and costumes, to the orchestra providing the background music, and the actors sharing this story on the stage, every part of this production has been a collaborative effort between our students and staff at Chiawana High School and Pasco High School.”

Performances are scheduled for December 6-7 and 13-14 at 7 p.m. inside the theatre at Chiawana High School. Tickets are $12 in advance, or $14 at the door. Tickets are on sale now through each school’s ASB office.

A special Student Night performance is also scheduled on December 12 at 7 p.m. Student tickets will be sold for $6 for that performance only. Numerica Credit Union is sponsoring the Student Night activities, which will include an ‘Elf Tailgate Party’ in the Chiawana Student Mall featuring activities, contests, and prizes. “Numerica knows that when we come together as a community, we make life better for everyone, which is why we are supporting this exciting youth collaboration,” states Andy Stirling, Numerica’s SVP of Central Washington. “Numerica is proud to support both Pasco and Chiawana High Schools this holiday season and into the new year.”
